The Himachal Pradesh Cabinet has decided to hold the Budget Session of the Vidhan Sabha from March 10 to March 28. The annual budget will be presented on March 17 by Chief Minister Thakur Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu.
The decision was taken during a Cabinet meeting chaired by CM Sukhu. Following the meeting, Industry Minister Harshwardhan Chauhan announced that the Cabinet has recommended to the Governor to convene the Budget Session within the proposed dates.
Alongside approving the budget session schedule, the state government has introduced key policy measures. These include the declaration of results, granting special maternity leave for women employees, and categorization of police stations to enhance law enforcement efficiency.
The upcoming budget is expected to focus on economic growth, infrastructure development, employment generation, and social welfare. Analysts predict significant measures to boost agriculture, tourism, education, and healthcare across the state.
With various sectors looking forward to new initiatives, the budget is set to shape Himachal Pradesh’s economic and social policies. The government aims to introduce reforms that will support businesses, employees, and rural communities, ensuring inclusive growth and development.
