The young talent Sai Sudharsan (65) played a mature innings, anchoring the chase. David Miller, known for his explosive batting, joined the party later, scoring a quickfire 55 off just 23 balls. Their partnership rekindled Gujarat’s hopes of a victory.

Mukesh Kumar Holds his Nerve in a Tense Finish

With 19 runs required in the final over, the pendulum swung decisively in Gujarat’s favor. However, young pacer Mukesh Kumar, entrusted with the responsibility by captain Pant, displayed nerves of steel. Despite a last-ditch six from Rashid Khan, Gujarat fell short by a mere 4 runs, handing Delhi Capitals a thrilling victory.

Rishabh Pant’s all-around performance, with a crucial knock and his captaincy decisions proving decisive, saw him being rightfully adjudged the Player of the Match.
